Step right this way, ladies and gentlemen, and enter the Big Top!
A place of wonder, delight and whimsy, a place of dreams and desires! A place sometimes of darkness, as well –
but most of all, a place to call home.
This site began as a vision of mine, a gleam in the dream in my eyes somewhere around the end of 2006, and though it has been met with many challenges in its creation – with more to come, I’m sure – here it is, for you.
One of the primary goals I have for it is connecting us, all around the world. The artists, the dreamers, the people who have the power to change the world through beauty, and do.
The people some call freaks who just might rattle someone’s psyche enough to let them see beyond the grey, colorless existence that they call life, and introduce them to the wonders that lay outside the office door.
Everyone could have that person inside of them as far as I’m concerned, but maybe some just needs a little kick in the ass to wake them up
to the wonders that life has to offer…
So here it is, for all to see or stumble upon. It’s time to wake up the people who only dream when they sleep.
Welcome to Big Top Magazine!

Founders Note:
Big Top is going crazy, and loving the madness! So much is in the works, & here are the major things happening right now:
1) An entirely new website, coming next issue! The new site is being done by a bona-fide professional, and will have tons of more content, more fun stuff, more user-interaction, and is absolutely beautiful! Cameron (the woman creating it) has been working her butt off, and has taken Big Top to exactly what I dreamed of since the beginning, but didn;t have the knowledge to do. Just you wait! The new site & issue will be up in mid/late December, and I can't express how excited that I am!
2) Big Top is hitting the road, baby! The final destination will be New Orleans, but I'm taking the long way. My intention is to wander, finding amazing people, acts, bands, dancers, and all sorts of things along the way to interview for Big Top. I'm even planning on breaking out my busking gear again!
On top of that, the adventure will all be blogged - I'm going to be writing again! Here's a taste of a previous adventure, on my way to Austin to volunteer at a Katrina refugee camp... ksea.livejournal.com/2005/09/09/ . I can't wait!
3) Planning a tour - not a road trip, a production! The idea is still in it's infancy, but it will happen, and it will be based on REVOLUTION, a show I put on in August. Dig the images in the 'Sights' section of the magazine. My vision is to have a small group of the most phenomenal performers traveling with, and incorporate the best local acts of every city we visit into the shows. It's going to be beautiful!
Big Top is going Big Time, baby - the wings have unfolded and it's taking off, all thanks to hard work, huge dreams, and you! I couldn't have don it without you.
If you would like to help support all the beautiful things happening and pitch in for the motor-home that will be our tour bus (all re-designed as an old circus wagon on the inside, of course), Big Top will be eternally grateful - and if we come through your town, on either tour, we'll be sure to swing by & say hi - as well as offer you a spot on the guest list if it's the show tour! Again, thank you all so much for helping this dream come true... ~ kSea
